Translated from 重寫戒淫證輯 - 淫人之妻，人淫其妻
There lived a man surnamed Lee in eastern Hei Bei city, who travelled frequently to neighboring towns selling dates for living. He often stayed over at a particular inn and eventually got involved in an affair with the proprietress and induced the latter to elope with him. When Lee led the abducted woman home, he realized his wife had eloped with another man. Although he was very surprised and frustrated, he did not realize that it was retribution of his action. Instead, he thought he was lucky that he has abducted someone else’s wife so that he would not be alone without a companion. Soon after, the woman who had affair with Lee eloped with another young man, leaving him lonely and finally died without a child. Some nosey people calculated the date which his wife eloped and it coincided with the time he abducted the other man’s wife. The Buddha said, "The universal law of cause and effect shadow us all the time." Lee’s engagement in illicit sexual relation with other’s wife caused him to lose his wife in the same token.
